APRIL 2003 Inside Running
formed by Mike
Rogers and
Kent Hale.
On the 24th of April 2003 Inside Running PPM Ltd was
incorporated by Mike Rogers and Kent Hale. The company was set up to primarily assist NZ rugby players wanting to play rugby overseas. We formed the company with the goal to eliminate the issues of unprofessionalism plaguing the industry.
2003 we purchased online rugby agent and set out to use this as a tool to recruit players for Inside Running.

In our first year of operation we sent 15 players from NZ up to Europe to play rugby on amateur and semi professional arrangements.
Australian office
In October 2004 Inside Running set up an Australian office. Keith Holmes joined the Inside Running team with the primary focus being the recruitment of Australian players to meet the increasing demand from clubs in the UK/Ireland.

In our second year of operation we placed 60 players overseas with approximately 10 players on professional contracts. These players were not only from NZ but Australia as well. This was the first year in which Inside Running also started to transfer players across unions in NZ and we also began offering a management service to the players that were on professional contracts.
Merged with BSM. Split company into two divisions; Inside Running Elite Management, and Inside Running
In August 2005, Inside Running merged with another sports management agency, Burlen Sports Management (BSM). BSM brought with them the valuable experience of having managed many professional athletes in NZ as well as a current stable of talented up and coming rugby players. The merger has meant that Inside Running had grown significantly overnight. This was the catalyst for a major rebranding exercise within the business with the formation of Inside Running Recruitment and Inside Running Elite Management.
In November 2005 we re-launched the website. The website was totally revamped in order to provide an automated service to lower level clubs and players.

In our third year of operation we placed 120 players with overseas clubs. This was a period of very high growth for the business.
MAY 2006 Elite Management
client; Isaac Boss debut for Ireland.
In May 2006 Elite Management client; Isaac Boss made his full international debut for Ireland. Isaac was a former Waikato and Chiefs player in New Zealand before taking up a professional career in Ireland.
JUNE 2006 Signed agreement
with Turri Management
to represent our
professional players
based in Italy.
In June 2006, we signed an agreement with leading Italian agency, Turri Management, to represent all our professional players based in Italy. Turri Management provide a quality hands-on service to our clients in Italy.
JULY 2006 Inaugural Air NZ
Cup commenced
in NZ. 60 Elite
Management clients across 14 team competition.
In July 2006 the inaugural Air NZ Cup commenced in New Zealand. The competition featured 60 Elite Management clients across the 14 team competition.
NOVEMBER 2006 UK office
In November 2006 Inside Running Recruitment established an office in the UK. Nigel Baker joined the Inside Running team with his focus being to provide a improved foreign player recruitment service to our clients in the UK, and also a move into the domestic player market in the UK.

APRIL 2007 Elite Management
signed first All Black
In April 2007 Elite Management signed its first current All Black.
JUNE 2007 Elite Management
sets up scholarship
with Hamilton Boys High School.
Inside Running Elite Management establishes scholarship awarewith leading NZ rugby school, Hamilton Boys High School.

In our fifth year of operation we placed 226 players with overseas clubs.
AUGUST 2008 Netherlands Office
In August 2008 Inside Running set up an office in the Netherlands. Damian Pearson joined the Inside Running team with the primary focus being assisting Dutch clubs with their player recruitment.
NOVEMBER 2008 4 All Blacks for
Inside Running.
4 Inside Running Elite Management clients named in the
All Blacks European tour squad.
NOVEMBER 2008 Damian Pearson
joins UK team.
Damian Pearson joins the UK team to work alongside Nigel Baker. Damian's focus will be on assisting UK based players with their needs. Nigel will continue to work in a club consultancy basis assisting clubs with their player recruitment strategies.
DECEMBER 2008 257 successful
player transfers this year.
In our sixth year of operation Inside Running completed 257 successful player transfers.
MARCH 2009 Mat Koubaridis joins NZ team. Mat Koubaridis joins the NZ team to work alongside Mike Rogers based in Mt Maunganui. Mat's primary role will be dealing with NZ based players and their transfer to overseas clubs.

In our seventh year of operation we placed 259 players with overseas clubs.
APRIL 2010 Inside Running form JV with BOP Rugby Union to launch Inside Running Academy. The Inside Running Academy is launched in Tauranga, New Zealand with 13 participants in the first year. The success of the Academy illustrated with two Academy members making Bay of Plenty rep teams: Pingi Talaapitaga - BOP NPC development and Josh Walker - BOP U20's.
JUNE 2010 Elite Management
established in Ireland.
Elite Management sets up office in Ireland with Tommy Sheehan at the helm.
JUNE 2010 Elite Management sets up scholarship
with Kelston Boys High School.
Elite Management sets up scholarship award at Kelston Boys High School. The scholarship programme has a largely educational focus for emerging talent from Kelston Boys High.
JUNE 2010 Joe Fiu joins the Elite Management team. Joe Fiu joins the Elite Management team based in Wellington, New Zealand. Joe has an excellent knowledge of Wellington rugby and will prove to be a real asset both in terms of talent identification and client representation in the Wellington region.
AUGUST 2010 Dave Finlayson
launches Inside
Running Football.
Inside Running Recruitment welcomes Dave Finlayson to our team. Dave will head up a new and exciting business in the United Kingdom launching the football division. Dave plans to imitate our success in the rugby union arena and unlock the potential within football recruitment in the UK and around the world
